We are delighted to announce the successful renewal of our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, reaffirming Stellar Omada’s commitment to maintaining the highest cybersecurity standards. This certification, awarded by ID Cyber Solutions, reflects Stellar Omada’s dedication to safeguarding its systems and data against evolving cyber threats.

Cyber Essentials is operated in partnership between the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), and it is delivered through the IASME Consortium Ltd. (IASME).

The Cyber Essentials Plus certification, a rigorous assessment of cybersecurity measures, examines key areas such as network security, secure configuration, user access control, malware protection, and patch management.

Stellar Omada has held Cyber Essentials certification since 2021 to address the basics of cybersecurity and help prevent some of the most common attacks. Cyber Essentials Plus continues to build on this previous certification and is an advanced certification program designed to meet more stringent criteria & includes an in-person technical audit conducted by an independent assessor.

Tori Dougall, Head of IT at Stellar, commented, “By successfully renewing this certification, it underscores Stellar Omada’s continuous efforts to fortify its digital infrastructure. This commitment ensures a robust defence against cyber threats, protecting sensitive data and maintaining the trust of clients and stakeholders.”

Colin Frame, Managing Director at Stellar, commented, “Renewing the Cyber Essentials Plus certification aligns Stellar Omada with industry best practices and helps ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This commitment to compliance provides clients with peace of mind, knowing that their data is handled and protected in accordance with the highest cybersecurity standards.”

The cyber threat landscape across the UK continues to be unpredictable & all businesses need to enhance their cyber resilience. NCSC’s seventh Annual Review, published 14th November 2023, highlights that “Appetite for the NCSC’s Cyber Essentials scheme continues to grow. The number of Cyber Essentials certificates awarded in the past year has increased by 21%”.
