We did it! Stellar Elevate has won the Social Impact Award at the Scottish FinTech Awards 2025. This is a massive win for us all at Stellar Omada, but especially everyone involved in Elevate, and a powerful recognition of the hard work and innovation we’ve poured into our social and community initiatives.
Winning this award, especially against such strong competition, proves that our purpose-driven model works. It shows that commercial success and social responsibility aren’t separate goals – they can and should be a unified force.
The award specifically celebrated two of our key programs: the Cyber Escape Room and the Stellar Elevate Academy.
Our Cyber Escape Room has been a game-changer. The team’s fantastic work has brought this immersive, hands-on experience to well over 1,000 pupils in the past year, teaching them critical skills in a way that’s anything but boring. The media attention—from features in the national press to the STV News segment at Leith Academy—has been incredible. We’ve already taken the programme to London and Belfast, and our new partnership with a major high-street bank means we’re on track to reach a million users in the near future.
It also acknowledged the work done through the Stellar Elevate Academy – our direct response to the tech skills gap, offering a clear pathway into the industry for people from all walks of life. We’ve seen firsthand how it can change lives, like with our own Chloe Mitchell, who went from having no tech experience to landing a PMO role here at Stellar Omada in just three months.
This award isn’t just a trophy; it’s a testament to our collective effort. It reaffirms our commitment to building a more skilled and safer digital community. This is something we can all be proud of.
Colin shared his thoughts on the win:
“I’m incredibly proud of this win. It’s a huge testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved in Stellar Elevate. This award belongs to all of us and shows that our commitment to making a real impact is being recognised”
