Stellar Elevate, the digital training and education division of Stellar Omada, is excited to announce that we have partnered with the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland to launch a fresh, interactive approach to promote and teach workplace cyber security awareness across the country.

Designed as a light-touch, educational session lasting just a few hours, this joint initiative combines foundational learning from the Centre’s Cyber Skills Academy with Stellar Elevate’s gamified Cyber Resilience Escape Challenge. It offers teams an approachable way to bridge the gap between basic theory and everyday workplace habits, to help keep them learn how to stay safe online – and have fun at the same time!

A Gamified, Safe-to-Fail Learning Environment

Traditional security awareness often relies on static presentations or lengthy compliance modules that struggle to keep staff engaged. By contrast, this initiative keeps things bite-sized, practical and interactive.

Over the course of a short session, employees step into a gamified “safe-to-fail” environment. Rather than sitting through dense lectures, teams work collaboratively to spot threats and make decisions in real time. Making a mistake in this setting carries no risk; instead, it serves as a straightforward, intuitive opportunity to build confidence and reinforce good habits.

Key Features of the Session

  • Core Fundamentals: Brief, accessible modules cover routine operational risks, including phishing detection, basic password security, device protection and quick incident reporting.
  • Interactive Scenarios: Participants collaborate to solve realistic workplace threat scenarios – such as business email compromise or ransomware – in a fun, challenge-based format.
  • Flexible Delivery: Designed to fit neatly into existing schedules, sessions last only a few hours and easily adapt to team-building days, away days, or dedicated security campaigns for small groups or up to 100 people.
  • Social Purpose: Surplus revenue generated by the Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland, is reinvested directly into Scottish community initiatives, school education, and wider cyber resilience. Organisations can even nominate local schools or community groups to benefit.

“Building a strong cyber culture isn’t about expecting every employee to become a cyber security expert. It’s about giving people the confidence to spot when something doesn’t look right, make good decisions and speak up. This collaboration with Stellar Omada builds on a shared commitment to skills and social impact, while helping organisations give their people practical experience of dealing with the cyber risks they may encounter at work.” — Jude McCorry, CEO of Cyber and Fraud Centre – Scotland

“Collaborating with Jude and the dedicated team at the Cyber and Fraud Centre has been a fantastic experience. We are thrilled to launch this partnership, which aligns with our shared objective of transforming workplace risk awareness into an engaging, gamified and ‘safe-to-fail’ learning environment. Together, we look forward to empowering organisations and their people to develop essential skills, working alongside the Cyber Fraud Centre to create a more secure digital future for Scotland.” — Lyssa McLagan, Stellar Elevate Lead
